On 9th July 2026, the Singapore Essential Chemicals Complex (SECC) officially launched its HSE Campaign 2026 at the PCS Fire Brigade Engine Bay on Jurong Island, with emcee Singapore Ivan guiding guests through the opening ceremony. The event brought together industry leaders, employees and partner companies across the complex to reaffirm their collective commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) excellence. The campaign was hosted by Aster Polymer Solutions Pte Ltd, with Mr. Toh Beng Ann, Plant Manager of Aster Polymer Solutions Pte Ltd, delivering the opening address. The Guest of Honour, SUPT Muhammad Firdaus Bin Abdul Raub, Head Operations, Traffic Police Department, also shared an insightful speech on the importance of road safety and cultivating responsible habits both at work and on the road.

The Singapore Essential Chemicals Complex is one of Singapore's largest integrated petrochemical and specialty chemicals manufacturing clusters, housing multiple leading chemical companies operating on Jurong Island. Through close collaboration between its member companies, the complex produces a wide range of essential chemical products that support industries including manufacturing, healthcare, electronics, construction and consumer goods. With such a highly interconnected operating environment, maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance is a shared responsibility, and emcee Ivan highlighted this spirit of collaboration throughout the event.

The annual Singapore Essential Chemicals Complex HSE Campaign serves as an important platform to strengthen safety awareness, encourage best practices and reinforce a strong safety culture across all companies within the complex. Each year, the campaign focuses on a key HSE theme that addresses current workplace challenges, and for 2026, the spotlight was placed on Traffic Safety under the slogan "Road Safety – Everyone's Responsibility – Be Alert, Stay Safe." As emcee Singapore Ivan shared with attendees, the campaign aims to remind everyone that safety extends beyond plant operations and includes every journey made within Jurong Island, where safe driving and responsible road behaviour play a critical role in protecting lives and ensuring smooth operations.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the official launch of the Singapore Essential Chemicals Complex HSE Campaign 2026, where Mr. Toh Beng Ann, Plant Manager of Aster Polymer Solutions Pte Ltd, was joined on stage by senior leaders including Mr. Kevin Snodgrass of Aster Chemicals & Energy, Mr. Usui Masahito of The Polyolefin Company (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Mr. Hisashi Shibayama of PCS Pte Ltd, Mr. Hiroki Kasumi of Mitsui Elastomers Singapore Pte Ltd, Mr. Wong Sau Chung of Rohm & Haas Chemicals Singapore Pte Ltd, and Mr. Tetsuo Hirokawa of Denka Singapore Pte Ltd. Together with Guest of Honour SUPT Muhammad Firdaus Bin Abdul Raub, Head Operations, Traffic Police Department, they marked the official start of this year's campaign, symbolising the strong partnership between government agencies and industry players. Throughout the ceremony, emcee Singapore Ivan kept the audience engaged with interactive activities while reinforcing the campaign's key safety messages.
