Event Summary - On 18th July 2026, Punggol Community Club came alive with the sights and sounds of unity and celebration during the Punggol CC Open House Racial Harmony Family Day PAssionArts Festival 2026. This much-anticipated annual event was held to commemorate Singapore’s Racial Harmony Day, a significant occasion that reminds us of the importance of maintaining peace and understanding among our diverse cultures. The event, expertly helmed by emcee Singapore Ivan, was not just a day of fun and games, but a heartfelt reaffirmation of the community's commitment to the values of multiculturalism and togetherness.
The celebration was officially graced by the presence of esteemed community leaders, including Dr Adrian Ang, PBM, the Adviser to Bedok Reservoir-Punggol GROs. Accompanying him were grassroots advisors including Mr Adam, PBM (CCC Chairman), Ms Joyce Lau, PBM (CCMC Chairman), Mr Tang Chye Huat, BBM (Organising Chairman), and Ms Joyce Gui, PBM (Co-Organising Chair). The emcee Singapore Ivan guided the proceedings seamlessly, starting with the arrival of the Adviser, a lively ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the symbolic unveiling of a community wall mural that captured the shared memories and everyday moments making Bedok Reservoir-Punggol a special home for its residents.
Punggol CC serves as a vital community nucleus, actively fostering social cohesion and providing a space for residents to connect. As part of the People’s Association network, the CC organises a wide variety of programmes, from fitness and lifestyle classes to cultural activities, all aimed at building a strong, resilient, and inclusive community. The PAssionArts Festival segment of the event is a testament to this mission, bringing arts and culture to the heartland and creating common spaces for residents to appreciate and experience the arts together.
Throughout the day, the emcees kept the energy high as they introduced a spectacular showcase of local talent that reflected the rich tapestry of Singapore's cultures. Attendees were treated to diverse performances, including a vibrant opening by Yamaha, the cheerful strums of the AAC Ukulele Interest Group, and energetic Bollywood and Indian dance routines. The programme also featured a "Cross Talk" by Gan Kwee Kuan, powerful Kompang and Wushu displays, and graceful Ballet and Folk Dance performances. The emcee Singapore Ivan ensured the crowd was engaged and reminded everyone of the lucky draw opportunities happening throughout the day.
Beyond the stage, the event was a true family day, offering fun activities for everyone.
