Event: Henko Group 40th Anniversary Dinner
Emcee: Ivan
Emcee - The emcee Ivan warmly welcomed all guests to Singapore as Henko Group celebrated its 40th anniversary, a milestone that honoured four decades of dedication, trust, and shared values. Henko Group, a trusted name in providing innovative industrial solutions across sectors such as long‑term life care, agriculture, and food equipment, had gathered its long‑standing customers, suppliers, and staff from Singapore, Johor, and Penang to reflect on a journey that began with a simple yet strong vision. The emcee noted that the event also marked a significant transition, as 2026 saw Henko joining the 360‑year‑old YUASA Group and the impending retirement of the founder, Mr. Eddie Heng, at the end of March 2026. Throughout the evening, the emcee Ivan guided the audience through a programme that blended heartfelt tributes, cultural performances, and forward‑looking announcements.
After a company milestone video that stirred deep pride, the emcee Ivan introduced a vibrant lion dance, during which a scroll was received by Mr. Daiki Kobara (Managing Director of Henko Group) and Mr. Jason Chia (General Manager of Henko Group). The emcee then called upon Mr. Kobara to deliver the opening address, where he spoke passionately about YUASA’s concurrent 360th anniversary and its official renaming to YUASA CO., LTD. The emcee Ivan underscored that Mr. Kobara highlighted three key points: the unchanging core of resolving social issues, the drive for financial and cultural transformation, and a new vision to support society through the “power to connect.” Following the speech, the emcee invited Mr. Jason Chia to assist in a champagne toast, and together with Mr. Kobara they led the room in raising glasses to the future of Henko Group.
The emcee Ivan then introduced a toast led by the management team, inviting on stage a distinguished group that included Mr. Lo Too Seang (Director of BME Technics Sdn Bhd), Ms. Karen Lee (Director of BME Industries (M) Sdn Bhd), and several key managers from Henko’s regional offices. As dinner service commenced, the emcee reminded everyone of the collective spirit that had carried Henko for 40 years, thanking both past and present employees for their loyalty and harmony. Later, the emcee Ivan announced the long service awards, which were presented by Mr. Daiki Kobara. The emcee named each recipient as they received certificates for 15, 20, 25, and even 30 years of service, including Mr. Jason Chia (25 years), Ms. Karen Lee (25 years), Mr. Ker Seng Han (30 years), and Mr. Lo Too Seang (30 years). Individual and group photos were taken to honour their dedication.
The emcee Ivan kept the energy high by introducing table games such as Human Treasure Hunt and Guess the Tune, creating moments of laughter and camaraderie. After a short break, the emcee set a more reflective tone as a retirement video was played, honouring founder Mr. Eddie Heng. The emcee then invited Mr. Eddie Heng to the stage for a heartfelt speech, during which he looked back on the company’s growth and thanked the team. Following his words, the emcee Ivan guided Ms. Tan Chui Ting to present a flower bouquet to Mr. Heng, a touching gesture that drew warm applause from the entire room. The emcee then steered the evening toward the lucky draw, with prizes presented by various dignitaries. As music filled the hall, the emcee Ivan closed the event by inviting everyone to raise their glasses once more—to the partners, the team, and the continued success of Henko Group for 40 years and beyond.
