The event, which ran through the afternoon, was a vibrant celebration of community and collaboration, expertly steered by emcee Ivan, whose energy kept the momentum going from start to finish. Welcoming over 200 staff members, the day was a powerful reminder of the organisation’s dedication to fostering unity before its team returned to their vital work of uplifting the community.

The impressive *SCAPE Ground Theatre served as the perfect arena for the action-packed day, with emcee Ivan taking the stage to brief participants on the friendly yet fierce competition ahead. Staff members were divided into their respective 'kampungs' for a series of creative relay games designed to test teamwork and coordination. From balancing ping-pong balls on spoons to racing to stack cups, the activities quickly built up a lively camaraderie, with emcee Ivan cheering on each team and ensuring the air was filled with excitement.

As the afternoon progressed, the competitive spirit reached new heights. Emcee Ivan kept the audience engaged while teams took on challenges like carrying a ball using only a newspaper and passing a balloon between cups without using their hands. The event culminated in a thrilling finale, a ball throw-and-catch challenge where accuracy and coordination were key. Following the games, a lucky draw and prize presentation ceremony was held, where emcee Ivan announced the top-performing kampungs. The celebration also included a special CEO debrief, where leaders expressed their pride in witnessing the team's incredible energy and spirit.

This celebration of teamwork was a testament to MENDAKI's core mission. As a self-help group established in 1982, MENDAKI is dedicated to uplifting Singapore’s Malay/Muslim community through excellence in education and lifelong learning. Under the leadership of Chairman Zaqy Mohamad, who is also Senior Minister of State for Defence and Sustainability and the Environment, and Chief Executive Feroz Akber, the organisation runs various subsidised programmes aimed at empowering parents, preparing resilient youth, and supporting workers, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
