Emcee Singapore - The Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP) Public Consultation and Exhibition for Blocks 231 to 233 Bain Street was held on 25th January 2026. The Emcee Singapore, Ivan welcomed residents as they arrived to learn about the government initiative designed to rejuvenate mature estates with new and improved facilities. From the start, the gathering was lively with song performances and activities such as caricature drawing and games, ensuring a warm reception for the local community.

The highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of the Guest of Honour, Ms Denise Phua, who serves as the Mayor of Central Singapore District and the MP for Jalan Besar GRC (Kampong Glam). Following her welcome address where she shared the benefits of the fully government-funded programme, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan invited her and other distinguished guests to view the exhibition showcasing the proposed improvements. Her presence emphasized the community-driven nature of the project and the importance of resident support in the decision-making process.

Throughout the afternoon, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan encouraged eligible Singapore citizen households to cast their votes on the proposed plans, which include upgrading playgrounds, adult exercise corners, and adding new intergenerational wellness areas. Residents were informed that the project requires a minimum of 75 percent support from eligible flat owners to proceed, making every feedback form vital for the success of the renewal. While exploring the exhibition, participants also enjoyed various live food stations serving treats like ice cream and takoyaki, which the Emcee Singapore, Ivan highlighted as part of the day's refreshments.

As the launch event concluded, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan reminded residents to submit their completed feedback forms at the registration counter to collect a special souvenir as a token of appreciation. It was also noted by the Emcee Singapore, Ivan that for those unable to vote immediately, the polling box would remain available for further submissions at the Residents’ Network Centre for several more days. The event, organized by the Jalan Besar Town Council, ended with a sense of shared purpose as the Emcee Singapore, Ivan thanked the neighborhood for their active participation in shaping their future home.
