Emcee Singapore - The Jalan Besar GRC Citizenship Ceremony took place on the morning of 24th January 2026 at the Kolam Ayer Community Club to celebrate a significant milestone for new citizens. The Emcee Singapore, Ivan opened the proceedings by welcoming the attendees to the event, which was organized by the Integration & Naturalisation Champions (INCs) of the Jalan Besar GRC, Kolam Ayer division. This ceremony served as a formal welcome for those who have chosen to make Singapore their home.

To set a reflective and celebratory tone, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan introduced two video screenings titled "The Singapore I Hope for My Child" and "What Does It Mean to be Singaporean," which explored shared values and aspirations. Following these videos, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan presented a dazzling semi-classical cinematic Indian dance performance by Aagneya Ramanadh, an 11-year-old student trained in traditional art forms. The audience was also reminded by the Emcee Singapore, Ivan to provide feedback through QR codes located around the hall to help improve future ceremonies.

The formal segment of the morning began with a warm welcome for the host, Dr Wan Rizal, who serves as the Grassroots Adviser of Jalan Besar GRC. After Dr Wan Rizal delivered an inspiring speech to the new citizens, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan invited him to remain on stage for the presentation of the citizenship certificates. Throughout this segment, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan called each recipient and family forward, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to take a commemorative photograph with the Grassroots Adviser.

Concluding the official program, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan led the entire assembly in the recitation of the National Pledge and the singing of the National Anthem to signify their unity and commitment to the nation. Once these national observances were complete, the Emcee Singapore, Ivan invited all guests to enjoy a reception outside the hall for networking and refreshments.
