Emcee Singapore - The emcee Singapore Ivan warmly welcomed distinguished guests and members of the public to the opening of "The Intrinsic Artworks of Dr Lai Kui Fang" retrospective exhibition. The emcee Singapore set a tone of reverence and celebration, highlighting the significance of the evening dedicated to honouring the legacy of the late Dr Lai Kui Fang.
The emcee Singapore officially commenced the formal proceedings by introducing the Guest of Honour, Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry. The programme featured heartfelt addresses, beginning with a welcome speech by Dr Lai's family, delivered by Madam Stephanie Lai, followed by a speech from Dr. Seng Yu Jin, Director of the National Gallery Singapore. The emcee Singapore then facilitated the keynote address by Ms Low Yen Ling, who spoke about Dr. Lai's profound contributions to Singapore's art and cultural landscape.
Following the speeches, the emcee of Singapore Ivan invited the Guest of Honour to officially announce the opening of the exhibition, a moment marked by a ceremonial presentation of a souvenir to Ms Low Yen Ling by the family of Dr Lai. The emcee Singapore Ivan then coordinated a group photograph session to immortalize the occasion before inviting guests to enjoy a tour of the exhibits and refreshments, which included a lucky draw for attendees.
Throughout the evening, the emcee masterfully wove the incredible narrative of Dr. Lai's life into the event flow, sharing his journey from a recipient of a rare French government scholarship to a graduate of Paris’ prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. The emcee Singapore highlighted his esteemed accolades, including France's Knight of Arts and Letters honour and the top Gold Medal at the Salon Des Artistes Français, and noted his legacy as the preferred portrait artist for Singapore's most prominent figures, from founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew to President Halimah Yacob.
