Emcee Singapore - The "Our People, Our Pride 2025" celebration at the National University Hospital kicked off on 19 June 2025 with a fun-filled Cake Decoration Challenge, hosted by emcee of Singapore Ivan. Held at the NUHS Tower Block Level 1 Foyer, the event brought together 44 enthusiastic teams from departments across the hospital to compete in a friendly display of creativity in honour of NUH’s 40th Anniversary. With cheer and charisma, the emcee welcomed the crowd and briefed participants on the competition rules, encouraging them to explore their imagination using the provided decorations.
Throughout the challenge, the emcee animated the atmosphere by engaging with teams, highlighting creative concepts, and drawing attention to the collaborative spirit among colleagues. As cakes began to take shape, the emcee introduced the panel of esteemed judges—Associate Professor Daniel Goh, Ms Sarah Ho-Lim, and Ms Sharmaine Poh—just before they made their rounds to evaluate the designs. After the judging, the emcee invited everyone to gather for a joyous birthday celebration, complete with a candlelit singalong and cake tasting, reinforcing the shared pride in NUH’s legacy and community.
On 20 June 2025, the emcee of Singapore Ivan once again took to the stage to open the second day of celebrations, themed International OPOP Day. With enthusiasm and warmth, the emcee welcomed staff to enjoy the vibrant festivities, which included a global food fiesta, photo stations, and live performances. He kept the crowd entertained with musical acts by colleagues and interactive games that brought laughter and connection among the attendees. The emcee’s charisma set the tone for a lively and inclusive celebration.
The day’s highlight, the Multicultural Fashion Runway, was emceed with flair, as he introduced each participant and team donning ethnic attire from diverse backgrounds. As the audience cast their votes, the emcee reminded everyone to keep an eye on the screens for QR codes and encouraged broad participation. The celebration culminated in a symbolic 40th birthday cake-cutting led by NUH CEO Professor Aymeric Lim, followed by the prize presentation for both the Cake Décor Challenge and Fashion Runway. With thanks from the emcee and a final invitation to enjoy the fringe activities, the OPOP 2025 celebrations concluded on a note of unity and joy.
