On the evening of 3rd July 2026, the Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC) family came together for a meaningful Team Bonding Gathering at Barouv Rooftop Dining, overlooking the stunning Singapore skyline. With approximately 90 team members in attendance, the event was a heartfelt celebration of unity, camaraderie and the shared mission that drives every individual at PCC. The emcee, Shirleen, opened the evening with warmth and energy, welcoming everyone and setting the stage for a night of connection, laughter and reflection. The emcee also made it a point to acknowledge the distinguished leaders present, including Gerard who delivered the welcome speech, and Fu JinFeng, the incoming CEO, whose presence underscored the organisation's commitment to continuity and a bright future ahead.

Parkway Cancer Centre has been a beacon of hope in Singapore's healthcare landscape since its founding in 2006. What began as a vision shared by four founding doctors – Dr Ang Peng Tiam, Dr Khoo Kei Siong, Dr Teo Cheng Peng and Dr Lim Hong Liang – has grown into a trusted institution with a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, nurses, counsellors and paramedical professionals. Today, PCC operates across seven clinics within three of Singapore's leading private hospitals: Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. The centre provides a comprehensive suite of cancer services, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and palliative care, all delivered with a patient-first philosophy. As PCC celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, the organisation has renewed its commitment to three core values: Trust, Care and Hope – principles that guide every interaction with patients and their loved ones. The emcee reminded everyone throughout the evening that this gathering was not just about bonding as colleagues, but about reaffirming the collective purpose that makes PCC a place of healing and hope.

The emcee guided the team through an evening that was thoughtfully designed to strengthen the bonds between colleagues who work tirelessly day in and day out to support cancer patients and their families. After the opening speeches, the emcee kicked off an icebreaker activity that grouped participants into four teams based on their birthdays – a simple yet effective way to mix things up and encourage everyone to connect with colleagues they might not usually work closely with. The emcee kept the energy high throughout, making sure that every team member felt included and engaged.

As dinner was served, the emcee encouraged everyone to relax, enjoy the meal and take the opportunity to catch up with one another outside of the clinical setting. The first and second courses provided the perfect backdrop for conversations that went beyond work, allowing the PCC family to share stories, laughter and moments of genuine connection. The emcee then transitioned the evening into the games segment, which featured the Straw Game and Selfie Game – fun, interactive activities that brought out the team's playful side and sparked plenty of laughter across the rooftop venue.

A group photo session followed, with the emcee leading the team in three cheers that echoed across Barouv Rooftop Dining – a moment of pure joy and unity that captured the spirit of the evening. The emcee then invited One Doctor for the closing speech, wrapping up the night with words of appreciation and encouragement for the journey ahead. As the evening drew to a close, the emcee bid everyone good night, leaving the PCC team with renewed energy, stronger connections and a deeper sense of pride in the work they do every day.
