Emcee - The event was expertly guided by our emcee, Ferlyn, who warmly welcomed all participants and set the energetic tone for the afternoon. The emcee efficiently relayed all important administrative announcements to ensure the smooth operation of the programme, directing dance competition teams to their designated areas and reminding everyone of the available facilities. With the stage set, the emcee then proceeded to officially commence the North West Dance-Fit Club Dance Competition, building anticipation for the performances to come.
Building excitement for the main event, the emcee took great care to formally introduce the three esteemed judges for the competition, highlighting their impressive credentials and vast experience in the dance industry. The emcee then expertly outlined the competition's scoring criteria before seamlessly transitioning into the main event, calling each of the 16 talented teams to the stage one by one to showcase their meticulously rehearsed one-minute routines, all while maintaining a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for the audience.
As the competition segment concluded, the emcee skilfully engaged the audience with a fun quiz session before preparing everyone for the arrival of the Guest of Honour. The emcee then formally announced the arrival of Mr Alex Yam, Mayor of North West District, and invited him to join all participants for a mass group photo to commemorate the occasion. Following the photo, the emcee introduced the showcase by the top three teams from the Online Dance Challenge, building up to the Mayor's welcome address, which was eloquently delivered after a gracious invitation from the emcee.
Keeping the programme on schedule, the emcee then invited the Mayor to remain on stage for the prize presentation ceremony. With clarity and enthusiasm, the emcee announced the Top 10 winning teams from the Online Challenge and the Top 8 winners from the live Dance Competition, facilitating the presentation of awards by the Mayor. The emcee then introduced the Honour Dance performance by the champion team, a fitting culmination to the competitive segment of the event before announcing a break.
After the break, the emcee reconvened the audience to kick-start the highly anticipated mass dance segment, encouraging everyone to participate and enjoy the collective celebration of dance. Throughout this segment, the emcee also took moments to announce the winners of the lucky draw, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. To bring the memorable evening to a close, the emcee delivered a heartfelt thank you speech, acknowledging the collective effort and spirit of all participants, and reminding everyone to provide feedback via the QR code before wishing them a safe journey home.
