Emcee - The Inclusive Sports Festival 2023, held at Our Tampines Hub from 8th to 15th July, was a landmark celebration of ability, community, and inclusion. Organised to encourage the Tampines community to become a more caring and inclusive society, the eight-day festival opened free access to 10 different sporting experiences for persons of all abilities, including archery, boccia, goalball, para table tennis, para canoeing, and the highlight of the week—the Wheelchair Basketball Friendlies. From the very first day, the festival's official Emcee was on hand to welcome participants and set an uplifting tone for the week ahead.

The festival was graced by distinguished guests including Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for Health, Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Manpower and Sustainability and the Environment, and Mr Desmond Choo, Mayor of North East District—all of whom are also Tampines GRC MPs. Their presence at the launch underscored the importance of building a Singapore where everyone, regardless of physical ability, can participate fully in community life. As the guests took the stage, Emcee Singapore Ivan introduced each of them with warmth and professionalism, ensuring the opening ceremony reflected the dignity and significance of the occasion.

Throughout the eight-day festival, the Emcee could be spotted at various venues, engaging with participants and keeping the energy high across all 10 sporting experiences. Whether introducing the rules of goalball to first-time players or cheering on para canoeists from the sidelines, the emcee's presence added a layer of connection and encouragement that made every participant feel seen and celebrated.

As the Wheelchair Basketball Friendlies Final tipped off, the atmosphere in the venue was electric with anticipation. Athletes took to the court with skill, determination, and competitive fire, demonstrating that sport knows no boundaries. The final was a thrilling showcase of athleticism and teamwork, drawing cheers from an engaged crowd that understood they were witnessing something truly special. Behind the microphone, Emcee Singapore Ivan had the privilege of calling the action and guiding the audience through this unforgettable final. His commentary brought the game to life, highlighting incredible plays and celebrating the athletes who have dedicated themselves to mastering their craft.
