Emcee Singapore - On 31st January 2024, the NTUC U Safe Forum & Awards 2024 was held at the prestigious Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability, located on Jurong East Road. Top-level executives and industry representatives gathered for this significant event, celebrating a milestone achievement in workplace safety as Singapore's fatal injury rate dropped below 1 per 100,000 workers—a remarkable testament to the collective efforts of employers, unions, and workers across the nation.

Emcee Ivan had the distinct honour of hosting the forum and awards presentation, returning to the stage after previously hosting the same event in 2022. The atmosphere was one of solemn pride and determination, as attendees reflected on the progress made while acknowledging the work that remains in the ongoing pursuit of safer workplaces for all Singaporeans.

The forum opened with a series of high-level discussions featuring key industry leaders and safety experts, who shared insights on best practices, emerging challenges, and innovative approaches to workplace safety. Emcee Singapore Ivan guided these conversations with professionalism and poise, ensuring that the dialogue remained focused on the shared goal of protecting every worker's right to return home safely at the end of each day.

The highlight of the afternoon was the awards presentation, where outstanding individuals and organisations were recognised for their exceptional contributions to workplace safety. From innovative safety initiatives to exemplary leadership in fostering a culture of care, each recipient embodied the spirit of the U Safe movement. Emcee Singapore Ivan had the privilege of announcing each awardee, celebrating their achievements with the respect and admiration they deserved.

Throughout the event, Emcee Singapore Ivan wove together the themes of vigilance, collaboration, and progress, reminding the audience that every statistic represents a life, a family, and a future. The milestone of reducing the fatal injury rate below 1 per 100,000 workers was not just a number to celebrate—it was a call to continue striving for zero harm.

As the forum drew to a close, Emcee Ivan expressed his gratitude to NTUC for the opportunity to once again be part of such a meaningful occasion. The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among all attendees, united in their commitment to making Singapore's workplaces not only productive but truly safe for every worker.
