Emcee - On 8th May 2026, the NTU School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering MSc programme hosted its Graduation Dinner at the Banquet Suite (Level 10) of M Hotel Singapore City Centre. This celebration marked the successful completion of the academic journey for the graduating cohort of MSc students, honouring their perseverance, hard work, and academic excellence throughout their postgraduate studies. Emcee Ivan skilfully guided the evening's proceedings, ensuring a warm and engaging atmosphere as graduates, faculty members, and distinguished guests gathered to commemorate this significant milestone. The event served as both a recognition of the students' achievements and a heartfelt send-off as they prepared to embark on the next chapter of their professional careers.

The NTU School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering MSc programme is widely recognised for its rigorous curriculum and contributions to advancing knowledge in areas such as communications engineering, computer control and automation, integrated circuit design, power engineering, and signal processing. The programme equips students with deep technical expertise and research capabilities, preparing them to tackle complex engineering challenges in both industry and academia. Emcee Ivan highlighted throughout the evening how the graduating cohort had benefited from the School's world-class faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, and strong industry linkages. The Graduation Dinner was therefore not only a celebration of individual accomplishments but also a testament to the School's ongoing commitment to nurturing future leaders in electrical and electronic engineering.

The evening was graced by several distinguished guests, including Prof. Boh Wai Fong, Vice President (Lifelong Learning & Alumni Engagement) , Prof. Warren Chan, Dean of the College of Engineering , and Prof. Gao Weibo, Chair of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Emcee Ivan extended a warm welcome to these VIPs before inviting Prof. Gao Weibo to deliver the welcome address and lead a toast in honour of the graduates. Following the toast, Prof. Boh Wai Fong took to the stage to deliver a heartfelt congratulatory message, encouraging graduates to remain connected with the university and to continue embracing lifelong learning as they advanced in their careers. Emcee Ivan seamlessly transitioned between these speeches, maintaining the evening's celebratory yet dignified tone.

Dinner was accompanied by a specially curated video montage celebrating the graduates' journey, memories, and milestones throughout the MSc programme. Emcee Ivan then energised the crowd with two interactive mini games. The first was a lively Bingo session, followed by the NTU EEE Trivia Quiz, where graduates tested their knowledge of campus landmarks such as the North Spine food court (Koufu), the NTU mascot (Lyon), the Yunnan Garden, and the Lee Wee Nam Library. Emcee Ivan announced that the trivia quiz utilised an online buzzer system, with the fastest participants given the opportunity to answer questions about NTU's primary corporate colours (NTU Red and NTU Blue), campus bus routes, and the nearest MRT station (Pioneer Station). These games fostered lighthearted competition and camaraderie among the graduates.

Later in the evening, Emcee Ivan coordinated a group photo session, inviting all attendees to gather for a commemorative snapshot before proceeding to the much-anticipated lucky draw segment. A range of prizes was presented to fortunate winners, adding to the evening's festive spirit. As the dinner drew to a close, Emcee Ivan delivered the closing remarks on behalf of the organising committee, extending gratitude to all guests for their presence and congratulating the graduates once again. Emcee Ivan wished the departing cohort every success in their future endeavours, reminding them that this graduation marked not an end but the beginning of a promising journey ahead. The evening concluded on a high note, with graduates departing M Hotel Singapore City Centre filled with pride, cherished memories, and anticipation for the bright futures that await them.
