Emcee - The Kolam Ayer Residents’ Network held its Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on 4 October 2025, bringing together residents for a night of unity, festivity, and cultural tradition. The event began with the Emcee warmly welcoming guests as they arrived and guiding them through the registration process, where each attendee received a goodie bag and a lucky draw coupon. The Emcee shared the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival, emphasizing family togetherness and the sharing of mooncakes, a symbolic gesture of harmony and goodwill.


Throughout the evening, the Emcee kept the atmosphere lively with engaging commentary and smooth transitions between stage activities. Residents were treated to a captivating performance by local band Sticky Notes, followed by the grand arrival of Dr Wan Rizal, Adviser to Jalan Besar GRC GROs, who was welcomed with a dynamic lion dance performance. The Emcee invited Dr Wan on stage to address the audience, after which everyone gathered for a group photo before embarking on the highly anticipated lantern walk around the river, led by Dr Wan and the lion dance troupe.


The celebration continued with interactive games and entertainment, as the Emcee invited enthusiastic residents to take part in a pomelo peeling competition, filling the venue with laughter and cheers. The Emcee then built up excitement for the evening’s finale — the lucky draw — where participants eagerly awaited the chance to win attractive prizes, thanks to the generous contributions of community sponsors. As the night came to a close, the Emcee expressed heartfelt gratitude to all guests, volunteers, and organisers for their support, while reminding residents to stay connected through the Kolam Ayer RN’s Facebook page for future community events.
