Emcee - The emcee of Singapore kicked off the evening with great enthusiasm as guests arrived for Shing Lee’s 90th Anniversary Dinner and Dance, held at Carlton Hotel on 30th May. The emcee warmly welcomed everyone, setting a celebratory tone for the milestone event under the vibrant Ne Zha theme. As the cocktail reception flowed, the emcee guided guests to their seats, ensuring a smooth transition into the formal programme.

The emcee introduced the highlight reel of Shing Lee’s 90-year journey, followed by an inspiring speech by Mr. Peh Shing Woei, CEO of Shing Lee Publishers. The emcee then led the room in a heartfelt toast to commemorate the occasion before dinner was served. With seamless coordination, the emcee transitioned to the Long Service Awards, where Ms. Peh Li Yun, Director of Shing Lee Bookstores and Asencio, and Mr. Peh Shing Woei honored employees for their dedication across 5, 10, 15, and even 20 years of service.

Laughter and excitement filled the room as the emcee hosted interactive games, including the lively Human Treasure Hunt and Drinking Game, keeping the energy high. The emcee also facilitated the lucky draw segments, where lucky winners walked away with fantastic prizes. A highlight was the Best Dressed awards, presented by Mr. Peh Shing Woei, adding a touch of glamour to the festivities.
