Emcee - The Emcee opened the NTA Cabby’s Carnival 2025 with energy and warmth, welcoming taxi drivers and their families to a weekend of learning, engagement, and fun. Held at the Punggol 21 CC Multi-Purpose Hall, the carnival aimed to bring the community together while offering valuable insights on platform worker protections, health education, anti-scam awareness, and upskilling opportunities. From the moment the doors opened, the Emcee guided participants through the registration process and introduced the wide range of partner booths set up across the hall, ensuring everyone knew where to explore and begin their carnival experience.
Throughout the day, the Emcee kept the atmosphere lively as visitors engaged with booths by the Singapore Police Force, Traffic Police, CPF Board, Health Promotion Board, and the Ministry of Health Transformation Office, among many others. The Emcee highlighted the educational value at each booth, reminding participants to speak with representatives, collect useful resources, and take advantage of the exclusive services offered. The Emcee also encouraged visitors to try out screenings, wellness activities, and interactive learning sessions to support both their personal and professional development as cabbies.
Beyond the partner booths, the Emcee directed attention to the vibrant game stations that added a fun, carnival-like vibe to the event. Participants of all ages enjoyed games such as Bullseye, Milk Can Toss, Down the Duckling, and Five Stones, with the Emcee cheering them on and ensuring constant movement and engagement across the hall. The Emcee also pointed guests to the food booths serving treats like Muah Chee, Kacang Puteh, and Popcorn, which added festive excitement and kept families entertained throughout the day.
A special highlight introduced by the Emcee was the Autonomous Vehicles (AV) Showcase located at the atrium, featuring static displays by CDG, Chye Thiam, and Grab. Visitors were encouraged to explore the AV zone to learn about the evolving landscape of autonomous transport and the future job roles emerging from this new technology. The Emcee reminded participants that the showcase was not only informational but also a rare opportunity to experience up close what the transport sector may look like in years to come.
The Emcee also promoted the Breeze Checkpoint Challenge, explaining how participants could visit selected booths, complete simple activities, scan QR codes, and collect digital stamps. The Emcee highlighted that collecting all six stamps entitled them to redeem a special gift at the FSE booth, adding an element of fun and adventure to the event. As families moved from booth to booth, the Emcee kept spirits high, ensuring no one missed out on the many engagement points throughout the carnival.
As each day drew to a close, the Emcee thanked all participants, partners, vendors, and sponsors for contributing to the success of the NTA Cabby’s Carnival 2025. With a strong turnout across both days and enthusiastic responses from taxi drivers and their families, the carnival ended with warmth, appreciation, and strengthened community bonds. The Emcee wrapped up by encouraging everyone to stay connected with future NTA initiatives and to continue exploring opportunities that support their well-being and growth.
