Emcee - The emcee, Feryln, gracefully guided the audience through the evening’s proceedings at the unveiling of the Sim Hoay Cheok - Sim Foundation Library, held on Thursday, 15 May 2025, at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. The emcee warmly welcomed distinguished guests, including Mr. Sim Hoay Cheok and his family, NTU President Professor Ho Teck Hua, LKCMedicine Governing Board Chair Ms. Chan Lai Fung, Dean Professor Joseph Sung, and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Serene Ng, among other esteemed attendees.

The emcee set the tone for the event by highlighting its significance as a monumental milestone for LKCMedicine. Professor Joseph Sung delivered a heartfelt Welcome Address, followed by inspiring speeches from NTU President Professor Ho Teck Hua and Mr. Sim Hoay Cheok himself. The emcee ensured smooth transitions between each segment, maintaining the audience’s engagement throughout.

The emcee then introduced the evening’s highlight—the unveiling ceremony. VIPs, including Professor Ho, Mr. Sim, Ms. Chan, Professor Sung, Dr. Serene Ng, and Chief Development Officer Ms. See E’Jin, gathered to reveal the library’s signage, marking its official naming as the Sim Hoay Cheok - Sim Foundation Library. The emcee orchestrated the ribbon-cutting and photo-taking moments with precision, creating a memorable experience for all.

Following the ceremony, the emcee invited guests to adjourn to the Flexi-space for a celebratory dinner. Professor Joseph Sung proposed a toast in honor of Mr. Sim, acknowledging his generosity and contributions. The emcee later surprised the audience with a birthday celebration for Mr. Sim’s 80th birthday, complete with a cake-cutting and a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

The emcee facilitated the presentation of a Thank You card to Mr. Sim by Ms. Dai Ailin on behalf of the Sim Yung Chong Medical Scholarship recipients, expressing gratitude for his support. The evening concluded with dessert and closing remarks, where the emcee thanked the collaborative efforts of the NTU and LKCMedicine teams for making the event a resounding success.
