Emcee -The Appreciation Dinner for Seafarers and Partners in Seafarer Welfare began with the Emcee setting an inviting tone. The anticipation built up as the VIPs, including Guest of Honour Mr Ang Wee Keong, Chief Executive of MPA, made their entrance. With the Emcee keeping the programme orderly, guests settled comfortably as the evening officially began.

The event continued with welcome remarks delivered by Guest of Honour Mr Ang Wee Keong. Following this, Ms Mary Liew, Chairperson of the Welfare Committee for Seafarers and General Secretary of SMOU, also delivered her welcome remarks. Throughout the speeches, the Emcee anchored the room, balancing formality with warmth to match the spirit of the celebration.

As the buffet dinner opened, the Emcee kept the crowd engaged with interactive games while guests enjoyed their meals and conversations. The evening maintained a cheerful pace, with opportunities for Distinguished Guest Mr M. Segar, Chief Marine Officer and Senior Advisor at MPA, along with other VIPs, to mingle with attendees. The Emcee remained central to the flow, ensuring each part of the programme transitioned smoothly.

One of the key highlights was the lucky draw, led by the Emcee who invited the Guest of Honour and the Chair of the Seafarers’ Welfare Committee to present the prizes. Excitement filled the room as seafarers eagerly awaited their names to be called and the Emcee kept the energy upbeat throughout the segment. The programme ended a group photo being taken. The celebration was a success for the seafaring community.
